What is Obagi?

Obagi Medical Skincare offer a range of prescription and non-prescription skin treatments for a wide range of conditions. Dr Helen will be able to advise you on the most appropriate course of treatment to deal with your condition which can be combined with other skin restorative treatments such as dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments

The Obagi Medical Product range helps reduce the visible signs of ageing (such as fine-lines, wrinkles), and treat melasma (dark patches), hyper-pigmentation, laxity and uneven texture. There are also highly effective treatments for adult acne, helping to reduce the damage to your skin before it occurs. Here's a rough guide:

  • fine-lines and wrinkles - this offers a non-invasive alternative to anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox, or can be used alongside a course of anti-wrinkle injections to boost the impact

  • melasma - this is a darkening of patches of skin around the eyes, cheeks or forehead, most commonly during and after pregnancy, and is worsened by sun exposure.

  • freckles - these occur on all skin types but are most noticeable with lighter-coloured skin. They are caused by excess pigment in the skin and become more pronounced with exposure to the sun. The Obagi C-System or Nu-Derm System both produce dramatic improvements.

  • hyper-pigmentation - this typically occurs as a result of skin damage from acne or as a sign of ageing but can also be genetic. Many people have a combination of factors leading to discolouration that Dr. Helen can select the best course of treatment for you.

  • laxity and uneven texture - many products from the Obagi Skincare range also include ingredients that help boost your collagen production which improves the elasticity and smoothness of your skin. This is an ideal alternative for those who don't want to undergo more invasive treatments such as Botox or fillers.
